[xubuntu-users] Ubuntu 16.04 LTS Xenial touchpad selection

I'm using XUbuntu 16.04, and the first thing I noticed is that the touchpad
selection is different than I expected --

When I want to select a few words, I used to double-click with touchpad
then drag along the direction to select the rest of the other words.

However,under XUbuntu 16.04, double-clicking with touchpad will select the
word, but the then-followed dragging do not have any effects. The selection
remains at the initial selected word.

Was it the way it used to be, or the way I was expecting?
