Any specific information would help to troubleshoot.  Computer, nic, what
the differences are, etc.  Have you tried a speed test like at:

http://www.speedtest.net/

to see if it is in fact a speed issue are just a cache issue between the
OS's.  Info is a little too vague atm for us to help you.
