[xubuntu-users] Firefox fails accessing microphone

Hello,

I am trying to call into a conferencing website (uberconference.com,
namely) and it can't seem to access my microphone.  The uberconference
diagnosis page says "Failed to access your microphone".

What's weird is that the microphone device is perfectly visible and
activated in the PulseAudio control panel.

I tried with Firefox extensions disabled, with the same result.
This is Firefox 41.0 on Xubuntu 15.04.

(the extra weird thing is that the same failure also occurs on a
Windows VM...)

Does anyone know what the issue could be, or where I could look to try
and debug this?
