Here I give you another way. Although I think cleaning boot partition
it's recomended.
I once had this problem and resized boot patiiton, using Gparted. There
is a risk while resizing a partition, so you should make a backup of
important personal files al least.
It takes a while, and it musn't be interrupted or you got a broken
filesystem. Full the battery and do it while connected to power anyway.
In my Lenovo V360 laptop it took like 1 hour to resize 260GB that
contained less than 100GB in files.
You need a live distro with a recent Gpaerted version. Using the same
Xubuntu you have installed, is a good idea.
