Hi Ralf,

I agree.  I use a combination of backups.  I have a 1 TB USB3 external 
drive where I archive my thesis (_can't lose that!_), Thesis tars also 
go onto CD and into a temperature controlled place.   I have long term 
and medium term solutions. Can paranoia ever be a good trait?

SATA internal HDD prices are low in the States.  Name brand 1 TB is 
$40.  There's no excuse for me to not have a 1 TB HDD in the tower as well.

I have a few FAT32 thumb drives.  I have to because there are a few Win 
boxes floating around here.  These drives stay out of my computers.
