I'm a long time VirtualBox user and plan to migrate to KVM, QEMU,
virt-manager. I kept an old kernel, an old version of VirtualBox and
it's dependencies, because I experience USB issues when using iTunes
and trying to upgrade iOS by USB connection, with up-to-date versions of
VirtualBox. Since I now will switch from a XP guest to a Win 7 guest,
I'll test KVM, QEMU, virt-manager. The OP should check the VirtualBox
upstream bug reports, before migrating to VirtualBox. Perhaps VirtualBox
is ok for what the OP wants to do, but maybe it's a PITA.
