You will need to backup all the data on the disk first. AFAIK, there is no
other way but to reformat the drive as ext4. There might be some other 3rd
party tools, but personally, I would not trust that without a backup.

Once you've done that, there are tons of tutorials on the internet on how
to convert. This is really not a specific issue to Xubuntu Google it.
