[xubuntu-users] Burning isos

The last couple of isos I have burnt have 'failed' i.e. the md5sum has been 
incorrect. This machine is two years old and lowest speed is 8X.

I have always burnt with 4X on other machines with no problems having used 
*buntu since 2007. I am just wondering what other folk are doing - I assume I 
can't burn slower than 8X. I notice my DVD-RW is limited to 4x but the other 
DVDs I've used are not.

What can one do to always get 4X? I have used Brasero or xfburn. Can the cli 
burn apps (cdrskin etc) burn slower or ?
