[xubuntu-users] Shutdown does not power off computer Xubuntu 12.04.4 (64bit for Desktop)

I have similar problems with one of my ancient laptops with 32 bit 12.04 on
it.  I just turn it off physically.  I've not had problems on the Dell
Latitude D620 which has 12.04 64 bit (Alternative) on it, which I'm using
to send this message.

All a bit odd really...
