I apologize for not including the name of what I think is a great 
application.  The package is called "Remastersys".  It seems that a 
group called OS4 did take up development  and they made a release a few 
months ago of "Black Lab Imager", their name for it.  You can see the

# 3 -- is a bit more difficult as I will have to reinstall the package. 
  I will use the one from the Software Center.  I will get back to you 
on this.
