[xubuntu-users] 14.04 update => network icon disappeared

Actually, this is worse than I thought. Even when I launch nm-applet by 
hand, I can't connect to any authenticated wifi network because the 
password box never gets displayed. Here is the excerpt in /var/log/syslog:

Any clue when this will be fixed? This is making the system unusable.
