[xubuntu-users] Ristretto again

The last time I raised this issue I got a nice shell script that
seemed to eliminate the problem.  that no longer seems to work.

When I try to open an image file that is associated wit ristretto,
ristretto hangs.

I opened the image viewer from the menu and it seemed to work, but if
I run it from the command line or double click an image, it opens a
blank window and hangs.

I'm running 12.04.2 LTS (Maverick) with the precise 3.8 kernel.  This
was working yesterday and fails today.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.  This is really annoying.  I can
open the images with the GIMP, but that's not an image viewer per se
and requires more work to go through multiple images.
