As far as i remember from installing 13.10 a week ago gparted is there. Its not present however in the final clean install. But this is a desing desition of not leaving power tools available to those who might not understand the harm they can do.

Hi everyone,

I was wondering why GParted is not included on the 'Live' Media? LiveCD or
LiveUSB of Xubuntu?

I am one of those who highly use GParted and I use it to plan my partitions
before any installation. I know I can install it on the Live Mode but I am
just curious why it is not there? other flavours have it by default AFAIK
but of course, after installing the system, it is not included :)

Sorry if this is an old topic, was just curious and looking for some
answers :)

Many thanks!
