Hi again,
Thanks for your replies (3 so far) but I'm afraid the replies I am reading
are not helping me so allow me to re-explain.
1- The one who brought his two laptops to me is not a friend, he is a
neighbour. He saw my posting on our neighbourhood facebook group about
Linux and he was interested to give it a try :)
2- He does not want a dual-boot system, he wants to get rid of Windows :)
3- I am not asking about Mint, Bodhi, etc. I am asking about what version
of Xubuntu that Xubuntu Community recommend :)
4- Mentioning other Distros names was just to explain the options I was
thinking about. Ignore that if it caused any confusion.
So, in very short sentence:
I need to know what version of Xubuntu do you recommend? 12.04 or 13.10?
And, as for using an outdated system, I am afraid I shall never do such
mistake specially with a Windows Users who will start using Linux for the
first time :) the systems are being updated and have EOL for a good reason
:)
Many thanks :)
