Glad that worked for you and I do run xfce and xubuntu on amd64.
There is a ppa to get Ubuntu Tweak, I followed the instructions at link:
http://www.liberiangeek.net/2012/04/install-ubuntu-tweak-0-7-in-ubuntu-12-04-precise-pangolin/

It seems to be under active deevelopment (I get changes to tweak now and
then)
