[xubuntu-users] changing foreground color xfce4-notes

[Art Slurry]

I can only find three config files for notes, and when any changes are 
made to them, as soon as I execute xfce4-notes, the edits are replaced 
with the original file... anyone know how to change the foreground 
color?  goodies aren't so good if they can't be easily customized

~/.config/xfce4/xfce4-notes.rc
/usr/share/xfce4-notes-plugin/gtk-2.0/notes.gtkrc
