[xubuntu-users] Saving sessions, only possible *not* to save sessions in the logout menu, is that right?

You should be able to go to Settings Manager -> Session and Startup and do
the following:
- Uncheck General -> Automatically save session on logout.
- Click Session -> Clear saved sessions.
