Apple will not come up with something for Linux. If the only problem
with wine should be "some files" and you know the files, it could work
just to copy those files to wine. I remember that I indeed copied files
from a Windows or downloaded them from a Microsoft page a long time ago,
to get another app working.

I still recommend to use VirtualBox or another host to run a Windows as
guest when running Linux. Even this isn't free from issues, but IMO does
work good enough.

A virtual machine is ... hm, an analogy might be ... it's like galvanic
isolation, it doesn't have impact to the Linux install.
