Chrome support proprietary codecs such as H.264 while Firefox supports
only free codecs. If a video starts with a commercial or a website does
use some special features, HTML5 in addition couldn't replace
Flashplayer. Youtube seems to be the only video portal that does encode
with free + proprietary codecs, all the others seem to prefer
proprietary codecs only.
