[xubuntu-users] Fwd: video issue with xubuntu 12.04

It may be the case that GRUB is just not displaying the boot screen because
it is seeing that you have a monitor with higher res than 1024x768. So to
test this thought, simply reboot, wait about a minute (get a cup of coffee)
and see if you are finally logged in. There is probably a 30 second pause
in the boot screen before it takes the default. You should eventually be
logged into your xubuntu session. If after about three minutes the screen
is still black, I don't know.

If you are finally logged in, its an easy matter of re-configuring GRUB to
set the boot resolution to 1024x768.
