I'm involved with a non-profit and have started 3 user groups across the 
country during my time. It just might be that your local LoCo needs a 
sparkplug to get things going. That could be you!

If the local President is just enjoying the title and doing nothing to 
organize, start a new group and declare yourself the Founder/President. 
It's work but it can be fun, if you enjoy stirring the pot and then 
standing back to see who among your group steps up to assist.

Keep the jerks with the "shoulds" and agendas in a dark corner. One 
idiot can run off a lot of faithful members, so maintain some measure of 
control.

And, keep in mind that when summer hits, most groups and clubs suffer 
from low-attendance. Spring and Fall are the best for attendance. Ric
