I don't know about a mouse driver. If you are thinking of a Logitech marble 
mouse then i strongly recommend it. Mine's now 14 years old and still going 
strong. The Kensington is a cheaper alternative but better suited to larger 
hands - not as precise as the Logitech i think. I've got both and both have 
worked fine on each of the distros i've tried which includes all the *buntu 
family.
