[xubuntu-users] problems with shutting down and hibernation after up-grading to Xubuntu 11.10.

I went into Settings -> Settings Manager -> Power Manager, changed all
references to suspend to hibernate. I can now hibernate my computer
when using Xubuntu 11.10. When I tried to use suspend, it froze at a
black screen, but using hibernate, after a few seconds, I can hit a
shift key and the password prompt comes up. I did find if I try to hit
a key too soon, I have a black screen. However, repeated hitting a key
worked. It did freeze as suspend does.
