It is less, because no one would have a problem, but because they are pretty
busy.
Me for my part am pretty much a green horn regarding the Linux. That's why I
am mainly listening here only. But if You would like to have a task: here is
my.
I am using Xubuntu "3.0.0-12-generic-pae" (what ever this "pae" could mean) on
a LENOVO IDEAPAD U160. I observed a strange thing:
I shut down the PC from Windows with having wifi and BT switched on, then under
Linux the wifi is not working properly: it appears to be switched on and
working properly, but it doesn't show any awailable networks. BT is listing
the available devices correctly.
Do I switch off the BT under Win before shutting down the machine, I have a
working wifi that lists the available networks, but the BT doesn't list any
devices, even the systemtray doesn't complain anything and the device is
showed as switched on. Do I switch it off under the running Linux, then it
tells gives me the feedback that it is switched off (according to the plan so
far). But just like I told: is it switched on, even then no reachable devices
are listed.
Do I switch off the wifi under Win before shutting down the netbook, I don't
manage to switch neither it nor the BT on from Linux anymore. I was told, this
is a Bios-switch that is performed by Win and the Linux wouldn't manage with
that. ... Sad to hear that, since I am and was always told that Linux would
have many advantages compared to Windows.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance and wish You a pleasant rest of the week!
Greetings,
Os
