[xubuntu-users] Thunderbird and enigmail

I have this problem with the enigmail add-on in thunderbird when it says
gpg can't be found even if I have edited the options to point to
override the default setting and pointing to /usr/bin/gpg. I have
noticed that this problem doesn't appear on every start-up of thunderbird.

Is there some better way of achieving gpg-support in thunderbird than
enigmail?
