[xubuntu-users] Upgrade to 11.04 has affected mic input

Dear all,

Having upgraded xubuntu on a thinkpad x200 it does not any longer support
microphone input, neither internal nor external. It did on 10.10, though,
and as far as I can see the settings have not changed.

Also, the problem remains when having booted with the old kernel
(2.6.38-9).

I'm aware that this is a quite generic question, all I'm hoping for is
some hints as to what has changed sound-wise between 10.10 and 11.04.
