[xubuntu-users] Panels in Oneiric Ocelot

I like panels just as they currently are.  I like flexibility: left, 
right, top, bottom, hidden, or not.  Why would you remove any feature?  
Users can take them or leave them as they see fit.  Now, applets and 
menus are a different thing.  I prefer a Gnome like menu:  
"Applications  Places System" that REALLY works with a good editor like 
Alacarte.  I also prefer the Gnome Timer.  But I notice that there is a 
program that makes the panels accept Gnome panel applets;  I haven't yet 
tried that.
