md5sum *.iso and compare with MD5SUM description before burning.
One can also use CD-RW for CD .iso writing (And DVD+RW for Dvd image).

After burning disk, If needed, content of mounted disk can be compared
with something like Krusader program, providing .iso is mounted in
virtual drive using gmount-iso, etc.
