[xubuntu-users] [xubuntu] Question on how to mount a CD?

Get thee to a command line.
Type *mount*
one of the lines should be something like /dev/sr0 on /media/cdrom
if not, it isn't mounted. Do it manually: *mount /dev/sr0 /media/cdrom*
If no response it succeeded. If anything prints it is a error message, and
let us know what it is. Also grep /var/log/syslog for "sr0"
If it is successful you will have to also manually unmount: *umount
/media/cdrom ; eject*
note the spelling umount, not unmount.
