 Interestily, it is checked, still don't see the CD. It is so weird. Is it is a bug?

Hi Jason,

You can check permissions on the cdrom. If you  cd /media and then type 
ls -l it should show the permissions. Go to system then user and groups 
and click properties. You will need to enter your password and click on 
user privileges and see if use cdroms is ticked.
