[xubuntu-users] generell question about old school video trouble

hi,
i'm struggling with two 10 years old pc's.no videoplayer working.tried a lot.
you don't newed to solve me problem so no specs etc. but just one question to the old schoolers:
is it possible to run in a video problem without a solution?(excluding writing your own drivers)
si o no?yes or no?
