[xubuntu-users] No wireless Internet

Sounds like you may have a Broadcom opensource driver issue.  I have a
Dell laptop that uses that has a broadcom wireless card and was fine
in Gutsy and as soon as I upgraded to Hardy the signal strength
dropped.  I found some links that mention a bug in the opensource
driver.  I plan to switch to Ndiswrapper, you may want to try it too:

If you don't want to do that you should drop do some testing without
encryption to see if that could be causing issues, then up the level
upon successes.
