[xubuntu-users] OpenGL installation in Ubuntu Linux PC

Thank you very much for your reply.
What I need to install is

(1) freeglut
(2) freeglut-devel 
(3) mesa* 

These 3 packages for running my application which is of OpenGL based.

Can you tell us a bit more what program it is and/or what you are trying 
to do? If you install something from the Ubuntu repositories, the 
installer should handle the dependencies automatically and install the 
needed packages. If you want to compile a given program on your machine 
you will need the appropriate -dev packages. That would be something 
like libgl1-mesa-dev and probably some other packages like xorg-dev but 
this is only a wild guess due to the lack of information about your 
program.
