[xubuntu-users] Proper way to install Seamonkey

I don't know any of the details about the SeaMonkey install, but if you
downloaded a number of files, there might be a 'README' or 'INSTALL'
file that you can open with mousepad, and it might have instructions on
how to uninstall. Then I would uninstall without sudo, then re-install
with sudo.
