Hi Wen,

great to hear that you succeeded.

I would expect to find a display of resolution/refresh diagnosis item
somewhere in your monitor's menues.

Maybe someone else knows how to get the refresh rate out of a working
Linux session, I do not.

What I usually do to get a specified refresh rate:
1. go to http://bohne-lang.de/spec/linux/modeline/
2. Enter resolution and target refresh rate on the left hand side
3. get modeline
4. enter modeline
5. get refresh rate

However I did not use this approach since for some years now, I nearly
always get in touch with LCDs and they seem to be magically set
correctly. ;-)
