Sometimes you can run exe files with wine. It depends on the particular 
application you want to run. You can check at <http://appdb.winehq.org/> 
if your application is supported.

Other than that you can use a virtual machine like VirtualBox and install 
Windows on the VM. But then you need a Windows licence which allows to be 
installed in a VM. Usually OEM versions don't allow that. Furthermore you 
need a lot of memory to run a virtual machine.
