[xubuntu-users] what programs run when I shut down ?

Hi Lee, sounds like you have applications or windows open on the desktop.  
Try pressing Alt-Tab and it should scroll through them and you should be  
able to close them properly. I think it's because you minimise windows and  
they disappear. Alt-Tab is how you get them to reappear.
