My guess is it is unlikely fvwm2 is as integrated with the general
system utilities than xfce(Xubuntu) gnone(ubuntu) or KDE(Kubuntu),
simply because very few people who use fvwm2 anymore, so there is no
user-base to make detailed testing / development worth wild. Also as
there is no official fvwm favour of ubuntu (Funbuntu ;)) it is unlikely
to get the same level of support.
I doubt you are going to get a detailed answer to your question without
just stepping up and trying it out for yourself...
