[xubuntu-users] Single click for desktop

Hi Xubuntu experts,

I would like to set the desktop to start programs from desktop icons with 
a single mouse click. Where can I change it from double click to single 
click? I think I checked every possible setup option available through 
the GUI settings but didn't find anything (only for the file manager, but 
thats not what I'm looking for). Perhaps google didn't give an answer 
because I didn't ask the right question.
