[xubuntu-users] Update to 8.10

Hi,

Newbie type question. I have 8.04. I think there's a new ver 8.10. I
update with amazing ease with Synaptic Update, but how do update from
8.04 to 8. 10? It seems like installing 8.10 from an .iso will wipe out
 all my 8.04(?)
