[xubuntu-users] TrueCrypt volume not appearing in "Places"

Is anyone using TrueCrypt with Xubuntu? I have been using Ubuntu until
recently, but decided to give Xubuntu a try. One thing that I miss is
how TrueCrypt volumes automatically appear in the places media along
with other removable media.

On Ubuntu, when I mount a TrueCrypt volume using the GUI, I see the
following output from dbus-monitor:

===================================================================
signal sender=:1.31 -> dest=(null destination)
path=/org/gnome/GnomeVFS/Daemon; interface=org.gnome.GnomeVFS.Daemon;
member=VolumeMountedSignal
   struct {
      int32 66
      int32 0
      int32 3
      int32 0
      string "file:///tmp/.truecrypt_aux_mnt1"
      string "fuse.truecrypt"
      string ".truecrypt_aux_mnt1"
      string "gnome-dev-harddisk"
      boolean false
      boolean false
      boolean true
      string "truecrypt"
      int32 22
      string ""
      string ""
   }
signal sender=:1.31 -> dest=(null destination)
path=/org/gnome/GnomeVFS/Daemon; interface=org.gnome.GnomeVFS.Daemon;
member=VolumeMountedSignal
   struct {
      int32 67
      int32 0
      int32 3
      int32 0
      string "file:///media/truecrypt1"
      string "vfat"
      string "truecrypt1"
      string "gnome-dev-harddisk"
      boolean true
      boolean false
      boolean true
      string "/dev/mapper/truecrypt1"
      int32 65026
      string ""
      string ""
   }
===================================================================

No such output appears when mounting under Xubuntu. Does this work for
anyone else?
