Josh,
I used NX for a while on my home network, for Windows PCs running remote
Ubuntu sessions. This is quite a nice product for remote sessions - it
is designed for network efficiency and also supports sound. And it has a
nice Windows client.
I don't use it anymore because I converted all my kid's PCs to run
Xubuntu. :)
