[xubuntu-users] xfdesktop -reload from cron

Hello,
I setup a cron job to run every 10 mins which runs the following command:
export DISPLAY=:0 && xfdesktop -reload &> ~/.var/log/xfdesktop-reload
The idea is to rotate the desktop image.  The image changes as expected
but cron reports "xfdesktop is not running."  Also, there is no entry in the
log file.  This used to work fine on 6.04.  Anyone know what's up?
