Hi leefangtao,Don't remove Firefox 1.5 just yet. Use that to go to the Firefox Download page and grab the latest tarball (2.0.0.1 I think).Untar it to the /opt directory. Open a terminal and type:$sudo tar xzvf firefox-nnnnn.tar.gz -C /optRemove the firefox-1.5 package by$sudo apt-get remove firefoxIt will warn you that firefox and xubuntu-desktop will be removed. Go ahead with 'Y'Create a symlink in the /usr/bin directory for firefox$sudo ln -sf /opt/firefox/firefox /usr/bin/firefoxVoila! Firefox 2 for you. :-)By the way, this is exactly what I did with my notebook and it surfs well.> Date: Mon, 22 Jan 2007 20:14:02 -0800> From: leefangtao at yahoo.com> To: xubuntu-users at lists.ubuntu.com> Subject: Re: [xubuntu-users] help firefox 2 installation> > i can run firefox by clicking the firefox icon, which> is the shell script, in the /usr/lib/firefox. but it> is version 1.5, and the Liferea Feed Reader closed> when i tried to read news in the open tab.> > > --- "Cody A.W.
