As far as I know the situation is that vboxvideo isn't loaded and the boot will fail after the Try/Install Screen, leaving you with a flashing cursor I have been <Host>F1 (RightCtrl as default) to vt4 then you can startx It IS possible to then test the install testcase - but please do not fail the livesession for the vbox issue for us - I will ignore livesession fails from vbox. It appears that vmware works (at least for Lubuntu). Hardware testing should work still - at least I booted ok. I have noted the same issue (vbox) while booting the Lubuntu and Ubuntu images in the last day or so.
