Chat is an integral part of Ubuntu and dropping Xchat as it's not maintained is understandable. There are many choices available, and Linux is all about choice. I've been using Chatzilla for a couple of months and like it.<br>

As for hexchat I think there are better choices. An article in Circle on all available IRCs would be a good idea.<span class="HOEnZb"><font color="#888888"><br>
