If you have not yet done so, please file a bug report, providing as
many details as possible. For example, there are many HP Pavilion
dv6-xxxx models so which one? What is the nature of the "hybrid
graphics"? <br>
<br>
Please email me the bug report number once it is filed. I am going
to try and find a dvx locally here in Dallas that has as close to
your situation as possible and see if I can reproduce this
unfortunate occurrence independently.<br>

I just tried to boot from the Xubuntu 14.04 64 bit DVD on my
laptop (HP Pavillion dv6, i7 CPU, hybrid graphics) and I get
nothing:<br>
booting starts, I get the little keboard symbol at the bottom
on the screen and then blackness. I don't get the screen
selecting between "Try" and "Install".<br>
The same DVD installed fine on a Dell Inspiron tower earlier.<br>
