Saucy -> Trusty worked just now on Saucy via

Robin, try it again. Keep in mind that you have to bring your
system up-to-date first. Then, try `update-manager -d -c`.

You shouldn't need to fiddle with the repos, Robin. The "proposed"
category refers to pre-releases for the current release level.
`update-manager -d` doesn't work on 13.10 (Saucy) either. (-:
Probably, 14.04 isn't ready for this test case?

Update Manager doesn't offer an upgrade to 14.04. Do I need to add
"precise-proposed" to the repository list?
Also I attempted to copy and paste my pastebin hardware profile into
the wiki for testers but got nowhere. I just followed the links, made
an account, logged in, found my way back to the wiki to add my entry
and ran into a brick wall.
It shouldn't be such a geeky pain in the neck to be a tester! :D
But I have all my backups done and I'm ready to give this a shot - if
I can get past Square One, that is.
