<div dir="ltr"><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:verdana,sans-serif;font-size:small">this is true, i've noticed this a few times, when a window seems to be "maximazed" but its just big, i don't find this particularly annoying since the functionality of a seeminlgy maximazed and a trully maximized window are basically the same any way. But it would be nice if the where a visual cue in the window decoration, beside the very thine line around the window that maximing hides, that a window is not occupaying all the available space.<br>

The problem for me comes from a maximized window vs a regular window that is approximately taking up the whole screen (especially not obvious with dual screen settings)<span class="HOEnZb"><font color="#888888"><br>

Is it not rather obvious whether a window is maximized or not? This seems to be more about personal preference than about functionality (which is fine, but not really reason enough for me to change the current icon).<br>

It's possible, but at the moment I don't see a really good reason to.<br>
Furthermore, as Jackson mentioned, this would likely also entail re-thinking the minimize button.<br>
