Sounds like a serious issue. Could you report it at <a href="http://bugs.ubuntu.com" target="_blank">bugs.ubuntu.com</a> against gnome-screensaver? (Or perhaps xscreensaver, I suppose. Which version of Xubuntu are you using?)<br>
